Marko Perković Thompson's Triumphant Return After a Family Crisis
After a two-year hiatus to care for his son Ante Mihael, who faced serious health challenges, renowned singer Marko Perković Thompson is making a heartfelt return to the stage. His family, especially his son, urged him to resume performing, leading to two upcoming concerts at the Gospin Dolac stadium in Imotski. Thompson will first perform alongside Mate Bulić and Dražen Zečić on August 6, and then hold his own solo concert two days later, marking his first independent performance since his break, according to Večernji.
Thompson's management previously revealed to 24 Sata that Ante Mihael had been encouraging his father to return to the stage for several months. His father's promise to perform again has now been fulfilled.
In an interview with Hrvatski Tjednik, Thompson opened up about his son's condition for the first time. "Ante is now a little better and his condition is stable, but he is still seriously ill, and we have a long road to recovery ahead of us. We have faith and hope that he will be even better. He has incredible strength within him considering all he has been through. Thank God that he is so strong and brave," he shared, as reported by Maxportal.
Thompson expressed his gratitude to the many doctors and medical personnel who were involved in Ante's treatment and recovery. He also extended his thanks to everyone who prayed for his son's health.
Reflecting on his audience's unwavering support, Thompson said, "They were always caring and emotional and were by my side when I was being chased and pressured. They did not fall for lies but supported me and, in these difficult times for my family, prayed for us."
Marko Perković Thompson's return to the stage is not just a comeback but a testament to resilience and the power of community support in the face of adversity.
