After Publicly Struggling with Fertility, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Announce Pregnancy
Last month during her new gig as a co-host on FABLife Chrissy Teigen openly discussed how she and husband John Legend have been struggling to have a baby. Looks like the couple’s efforts have paid off. Legend and Teigen announced their good news via Instagram Monday evening.
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :),” Teigen captioned the photo. “As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx”
Last month Teigen said on air , “I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have kids five, six years ago if it’d happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process!” Teigen went on to say that she and Legend had seen fertility doctors before concluding, “So, anytime somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m like, ’One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who’s really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!’” Looks like no one has to ask after this very public announcement to Teigen’s 3.4 million Instagram followers.
Teigen has said in the past that she and Legend want a large family—an “Angelina-Brad-type brood.” They’re officially on their way.
