Actress Ariel Lin wins Best Lead Actress at 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards
Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin (林依晨) was awarded Best Lead Actress at the 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards in Busan, South Korea. Lin earned the prestigious recognition for her outstanding performance in the Taiwanese television drama "Imperfect Us" (不夠善良的我們).
In an emotional acceptance speech delivered partly in Korean, Lin expressed her gratitude "This award is a great motivation for both me and the work."
She continued in English, emphasizing the power of storytelling "I truly believe that a good script can let people feel understood, be inspirational, and show what truly matters."
Adding to the show’s success, the drama’s theme song, "Learn to Live Again" (善良的我們), composed by Singaporean singer-songwriter Tanya Chua (蔡健雅), won the award for Best Original Song. Chua, moved by the recognition, shared:
"This award means so much to me," marking her first composition for a drama series.
"Imperfect Us" received five nominations at the event, including Best Asian Content, Best Supporting Actor (Male), and Best Writer.
The Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, now in its sixth year, is organized by the Busan International Film Festival in collaboration with South Korea's National IT Industry Promotion Agency. This ceremony celebrates excellence in Asian content and achievements in the OTT entertainment industry.
