First Public Concert Featuring Rare Instrument in Limassol
Limassol’s music scene is set to experience a unique event this March, as the first public concert featuring a pipe organ will take place. Scheduled for March 16, the concert will showcase the talents of musicians Tatiana Stupak and Elena Soskova at the Tatiana Stupak School of Music.
The star of the evening will be a remarkable German pipe organ, built by E Kemper & Sohn in the 1950s. Imported from Poland by Stupak, this instrument was installed at her music school in November and holds the distinction of being the only mechanical action pipe organ in Cyprus, as well as the only pipe organ in private ownership on the island. A private inaugural concert for invited guests was held in December, but now the school is opening its doors to the public for this special performance.
Tatiana Stupak, a multi-talented musician and holder of the Guinness World Record for the highest concert on the planet, will be at the organ. She will be joined by Elena Soskova, a coloratura soprano known for her exceptional vocal range and agility, representing the highest form of soprano singing.
In addition to its musical significance, the concert has a charitable purpose, with all proceeds raised going to support children with disabilities. This event not only promises to be a memorable evening of music but also an opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause.
Music lovers and community members are encouraged to attend this historic concert, celebrating the beauty of the pipe organ and supporting a meaningful initiative in Limassol.
