In this interview with Seneweb, Mame Awa Dieng, dietician-nutrionist, at the Dalal Jamm hospital in Guédiawaye indicates that this very popular fruit in Senegal contains many virtues. In relation to its components, it informs that it is a food that is very rich in vitamins and minerals. Among these vitamins, she cites vitamin C and group B vitamins (b1, b2, b3 and b6) which also participate in the production of energy in the body. In addition to this aspect, Saba Sengalensis is considered an antioxidant that helps fight against certain diseases such as cancers and against bacterial and viral infections.
All that can be presented as a danger in the consumption of this fruit is the excessive use of sugar, salt and pepper, she warned. According to the nutritionist, “its quantities must be moderate to avoid certain chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and overweight.
