You can now exchange cryptocurrencies in Croatia's post offices
Almost two years ago, in December 2019, the Croatian Post introduced a modern service, allowing citizens to purchase cryptocurrency at several locations. Now, with every passing day, cryptocurrencies are gaining more and more popularity worldwide.
For this reason, the post has expanded its previous service, making it possible to buy or sell cryptocurrencies at over 50 locations all over the country. The 11 cryptocurrencies that one can currently exchange are Bitcoin, Ripple, Stellar, Ether, Eos, Bitcoin Cash, Dai, USDT, USD Coin, Polkadot, and Kusama.
To make it easier for citizens to learn more about the subject, the Croatian Post has further developed a Crypto Centre website. On kripto.posta.hr, citizens can access an exchange rate list and calculator, information about buying and selling, and an interactive map that pinpoints the more than 50 post offices which offer the new services.
Crypto stamps
Another novelty that sets the Croatian Post apart is its collection of crypto stamps. On the aforementioned Crypto Centre, the post explains that these stamps connect the digital and analogue worlds as they consist of 2 key parts: a regular physical stamp and a digital non-fungible token (NFT). The latter allows the owners to store their crypto stamps in digital wallets.
In addition to this, the stamps have several components, including 2 QR codes, a private key, serial number, and ETH address. To buy crypto stamps, one can either visit the larger post offices in the country or purchase them online on epostshop.hr. Read More...
