This tasteful credit card-sized mobile phone is just for phone calls and we want one
Remember when the only thing you could do with a mobile phone was make and receive calls?
Well it seems we’ve come full circle.
A designer has created a device that does just that – the only difference being that it’s a hell of a lot more tasteful than those ugly 80s brick phones.
The gadget can forward calls to another device if you wish (Picture: Kickstarter/Light Phone)
Kaiwei Tang is looking for funding on Kickstarter for his ‘Light Phone’, a credit card-sized mobile ‘designed to be used as little as possible’.
The phone weighs just 38.6 grams and can only tell the time, make and receive phone calls, and store 10 key numbers. It also the ability to forward to calls to a more ‘complex’ device – i.e. a standard smartphone.
Perhaps the most appealing part of the device is its battery life: 20 days.
Pledge $100 or more and you’ll receive your own Light Phone when it becomes available.
