Finally, the redheads out there can rejoice.
There is now a ginger emoji on the Google Play Store for Android – with an iPhone version probably not far behind.
The introduction of 16 new flame-haired characters (including Ron Weasley and Conan O’Brien) follows international outcry over the lack of ginger representation.
Apple added racially-diverse and same-sex emojis earlier this year but had failed to add a redhead despite an online petition reaching more than 15,000 signatures.
Nobody could quite understand why they refused.

So Swyft Media decided to take matters into their own hands.
A representative for the company said: ‘There are different memes going around the internet, including one which claims gingers don’t have souls. This shows a lack of love for people with red hair – and we are trying to fix that. I have felt their pain.
