Bulgaria's highest-ranked female tennis player, Viktoriya Tomova, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Transylvania Open, a hard court indoor tournament held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Tomova achieved this milestone on Wednesday evening by defeating the tournament's second seed, Olga Danilovic, who is currently ranked No. 41 in the world.
The match was fiercely contested, lasting nearly two hours and concluding with a score of 7-5, 7-5 in favor of Tomova. Despite Danilovic having a lead and serving for the win in both sets, Tomova showcased her resilience by staging comebacks at critical moments.
