Apple has announced a brand new Macbook Air, with a retina display, at its New York launch event today.
Apple's Macbook Air influenced both Apple's later products and the rest of the PC industry alongside it.
Fitted with a 13.3-inch display and Apple has boosted the resolution for four times, making four million on screen pixels. Sharp and more detail goes along with 48 per cent more colour too.
A big update was expected and Apple has delivered.

Price and release date
The Macbook Air costs £1199 and you can order it from today and it's available from November 7.
Touch ID lives on
Apple also added Touch ID to the new Macbook Air. This, borrowed from the iPhone and iPad allows you to log in with the touch of a finger.
That also allows you to pay for things using Apple's payment service. And it's secured with Apple's T2 chip.
A brand new touch trackpad and keyboard
A 20 per cent larger force touch trackpad also improves how you interact with the Macbook Air.
Apple's controversial butterfly keyboard is also included, with Apple claiming that it's four times more stable.
Audio
You also get 25 per cent louder stereo speakers - Apple knows that people love watching TV and movies on their laptops.
Facetime has a boost with a three microphone array, for better sound when you talk to friends - and Siri.
Specs
The Air can now support up to 16GB of RAM too - giving you amazing performance on a laptop.
Battery life
Apple is claiming that the battery life is 12 hours for wireless browsing and 13 hours of iTunes movie playback
Weight and size
The Air is just 15.6mm and weighs 2.75 pounds.
