France Bring in Jalibert & Penaud to Face England
France has made key changes to their lineup ahead of the highly anticipated Six Nations clash against England on Saturday. Fly-half Matthieu Jalibert has been recalled to replace the suspended Romain Ntamack, who received a red card for a head-high tackle on Ben Thomas during France's dominant 43-0 victory over Wales in the opening weekend.
Venue: Allianz StadiMen's Six Nations: England vs. France
Date: Saturday, February 8
Kick-off: 16:45um, Twickenham
In addition to Jalibert's return, Damian Penaud is back on the wing after recovering from a toe injury. The 28-year-old winger has an impressive record, having scored 36 tries in 53 appearances for France, and is just two tries shy of equaling Serge Blanco's all-time try-scoring record for the national team.
Theo Attissogbe, who scored twice in the win over Wales, has been dropped from the matchday squad. However, the rest of the French lineup remains unchanged, with captain Antoine Dupont leading the team from scrum-half.
Among the replacements is Emilien Gailleton, who has a unique connection to the match, having been born in Croydon, just 15 miles from Twickenham, before moving to France as a toddler.
As the teams prepare to face off, all eyes will be on the French side as they aim to build on their strong start to the tournament against a formidable England team.
