On the afternoon of June 29, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Drama Theater launched a musical theater project for young people “Alice in Wonderland“ (Alice in Wonderland).
The musical has the participation of the Australian Institute of Music (Australian Institute of Music, the oldest art school in the country). Currently, the two units are recruiting actors in both Vietnam and Australia. According to the script, there will be 25 actors transforming into 31 characters (including public figures).
All young people who love art, aged 14 and over, whether professional or amateur actors can participate in the selection. In Hanoi, the Organizing Committee will hold casting on July 13 and 14.
According to outstanding artist Xuan Bac, director of the Vietnam Drama Theater, this is a key project in 2022, marking the 70-year journey of formation and development of the “red elder” of the Vietnamese theater stage. Instead of choosing a strong drama project, the theater challenged itself with the popular musical genre in the world to work towards innovation in artistic creation, creating attraction for the public.
