Senegalese tech firms see profit at Europe's biggest startup event
Positioning Senegal as an African digital powerhouse Since 2016, VivaTech has made its mark as the European epicenter of innovation and digital technology.
With more than 2,000 exhibitors from around the world, the trade show offers unrivaled access to international clients, major investors and new markets.
Senegal has become one of the top five tech hubs in Africa, making the June 15-18 event a key opportunity.
The country’s most promising startups went to Paris with the support of the NTF V project, the French Embassy in Dakar, and the Senegalese government’s entrepreneurship agency, known as the Délégation générale à l’Entreprenariat Rapide des Femmes et des Jeunes (DER /FJ).
In just a few days, these “Tech Lions” initiated more than 37 deals.
According to Carine Vavasseur of DER/FJ, these excellent results validate the attractiveness of Senegal’s tech ecosystem.
