The Saq taq achik' exhibition invites us to enter an intimate universe where the limits between the cycles of sleep and wakefulness are diluted, revealing a space in which the voices of the Tzutujil ancestors dress in fire, flowers and wind to bring together the inhabitants of San Pedro la Laguna and thus be able to transmit their secrets, warnings and advice.
Manuel Chavajay is a multidisciplinary artist from San Pedro La Laguna. He has participated in numerous collective and individual exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Scotland, the Czech Republic, China, Canada, Vienna and Italy. He has participated in different biennials, among which are: SIART Bolivia Biennial, CURITIVA BRASIL Biennial, The Seventh Biennial of Visual Arts of the Central American Isthmus BAVIC , among others.
