Russian Rock Band DDT to Reissue Six Albums on Vinyl via Crowdfunding
The iconic Russian rock band DDT has announced the launch of a new crowdfunding project on the Planeta.ru platform to reissue six of their classic albums on vinyl, including two releases making their vinyl debut. Fans will be able to support the project and gain access to both physical and digital editions of these albums, along with exclusive autographed collector's items.
Albums Set for Vinyl Release
The project will include the following albums:
- Aktrisa Vesna
- Cherny Pes Petersburg
- Eto Vse
- Mir No. Zero
Additionally, two albums will be released on vinyl for the first time:
- Love
- L'echoppe – a solo project by Yuri Shevchuk and Konstantin Kazansky
Each vinyl record will feature a dust jacket with a unique number, making these editions highly collectible.
New Mastering and Spring 2025 Release
The band has announced that new mastering of all six albums is expected to conclude by November 2024, with physical copies becoming available by March 2025. Fans who participate in the crowdfunding campaign will have the opportunity to receive:
- Digital copies of all six albums with new mastering
- White and black vinyl editions
- Autographed albums by DDT frontman Yuri Shevchuk
- Collector’s boxes featuring multiple records
Yuri Shevchuk shared additional news about the band’s ongoing creative efforts:
"We are currently rehearsing in the studio, working on new songs I wrote this year. There’s a chance we’ll release a new album by spring. Along with the vinyl reissues, we hope these projects will bring joy to our listeners."
A Proven Crowdfunding Success
This is DDT’s fifth crowdfunding campaign on Planeta.ru, with previous initiatives raising over 66 million rubles. The band has previously used these funds to release albums and singles, such as:
- "Wolves in the Shooting Gallery"
- "Collection of Songs" Vol. 1 and 2
- "Remixes"
- "Creativity in the Void" Parts 1 and 2
Through these campaigns, DDT has successfully provided fans with digital and physical editions, including signed copies by the band members.
