Rexxie Drops Highly Anticipated “Abracadabra” Remix Featuring Wizkid

Popular Nigerian street-pop producer Ezeh Chisom Faith, professionally known as Rexxie, has released the remix to his industry-moving hit single Abracadabra which features Wizkid on its intro. The remix, which was initially teased 3 weeks ago, came to fruition thanks to Wizkid’s love for the original single. The original single featured Naira Marley and Skiibii on what was Rexxie’s fifth track of 2022 as he built on the momentum of his 2020 breakout production Ko Por Ke (KPK) featuring Mohbad.
Rexxie who is gearing up for the release of his sophomore studio album Big Time on March 3 is undeniably leveraging the Wizkid effect to not only take Abracadabra to new heights but to promote his album. Big Time is a 36-minute 12-track project featuring Naira Marley, Skiibii, Busiswa, L.A.X, Shashie, and Zinoleesky among others. Rexxie has confirmed that the project is ready, but the full tracklist still remains a mystery. Known songs on the album include Abracadabra, Abracadabra Remix, Lagos and No More Condition.
Rexxie’s Abracadabra remix builds on the original single by infusing the trending Amapiano sound into an up-tempo beat that coupled with Naira Marley and Skiibii’s groovy lyrics enables Wizkid to come in as smoothly as possible. Naira Marley comes through with his daring lyrics, Skiibii maintains the exciting Afrobeats vibe on the record, and Wizkid delivers a catchy but mellow rendition of the already popular single. Wizkid provides a fresh spin on things as he plays around with the infamous “Abi kin kpe Rexxie” line changing it to “Abi kin kpe Wizzy.”
Rexxie’s latest releases have continued to showcase the musical prowess of the Nigerian street music veteran producer. His career has birthed a considerable number of hits, including Zanku by Zlatan, street anthem Able God by Chinko Ekun and some of Naira Marley’s biggest hits including Puta, Soapy and Coming.
