Repetitive violations of the school domain: The signatory education unions of October 15, 2016 denounce
In a press release made public this Wednesday, January 31, 2023 and relayed on social networks, the signatory Education unions of October 15, 2016 denounce the repetitive violations of the school domain.
According to the terms of the press release, the school domain is protected by the internal regulations of secondary and fundamental education respectively article 7 and article 8 which stipulate that: “ The school domain is inviolable. No one has the right to disturb the peace of the school. The premises and outbuildings cannot be used without the prior authorization of the head of the establishment .
Despite these articles of the regulations, the school area is repeatedly violated by the security forces and this with complete impunity.
“After the incursion of the police into the examination center in Kenieba, that of the gendarmes into the Kabala school group to arrest teachers, we have just observed the manu-military arrest of a teacher in his class in full composition at the Doniyaso school in Sénou, on Thursday January 26, 2023. He was arrested and handcuffed in front of his students like a common bandit and transported in a private vehicle for the Territorial Brigade of the Sénou gendarmerie, "denounces the said press release
The signatory education unions of October 15, 2016 wonder about the real intention and the message that the security forces want to convey to teachers and students in this context. This is why they invite the authorities to apply the texts in order to bring serenity, peace of mind and security to schools.
Faced with the seriousness of the situation, the signatory education unions of October 15, 2016 invite their activists to mobilize for the defense of the corporation and at the same time bring their support to the synergy of the district of Bamako. Read More…
