Para athletics-Tunis Grand Prix : Tunisia in the lead with 23 medals, Ktila wins his 2nd gold charm
Tunisia took the lead in the medal ranking of the Tunis International Para-Athletics Meeting “Grand Prix”, with a total of 23 medals (10 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze) at the end of the second day's events.
A festival of achievement crowned by 7 golden charms, won by Maroua Brahmi (club throw, F32), Hamdi Ouerfelli (disc, F37), Samar Ben Kaalab (weight, F41), Rouay Jebabli (1500m, T12 ), Najeh Chweya (1500m, T12), Bechir Laakoubi (1500m T46) and Walid Ktila (800m, T34) for whom this is the second gold medal after that won on the first day in the 100m (T34).
The 2nd day was also marked by 5 silver medals, the work of Bochra Rezouga (Disc, F55), Wejhène Aziz (weight, F46), Raja Jebabli (Weight, F40), Mohamed Nidhal (800m, T53) and Achraf Lahoual (1500m, T12).
As for Abdennasser Feydi (Weight, T32), Oussama Sai (Weight, F33) and Nourhène Haj Salem (Weight, F40), they settled for bronze.
In the ranking of medals, Tunisia dominates the table ahead of Uzbekistan with 11 medals (6 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze), Iraq holder of 8 medals (5 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze), Morocco and its 7 medals (4 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze), Saudi Arabia with 6 medals (1 gold, 5 silver) and Algeria which totals 6 charms (1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze).
