Nigeria Set to Become the First African Country to Utilize ChatGPT Application
OpenAI, the developer behind ChatGPT, announced on Thursday, May 25, 2023, that Nigeria has been added to the list of countries granted access to the ChatGPT application, making it the first African nation to enjoy its benefits.
This step signifies a significant achievement for both OpenAI and Nigeria, as the innovative chatbot extends its reach to a diverse global user base.
It has been reported that OpenAI recently launched the ChatGPT mobile application exclusively for iOS users within the United States, just a week ago.
The newly added countries encompass Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, and the United Kingdom.
The ChatGPT application offers users five key features, and there are plans to release an Android version in the near future.
Once a user submits a request, OpenAI processes the query and promptly generates an AI-generated response. Users can continue the conversation, provide additional information, or request a different answer. The application supports code blocks, enabling users to conveniently copy and paste answers as required.
By default, ChatGPT retains the chat history for model training purposes, ensuring that users can access their conversations on desktop devices as well.
