Multiple Entry Visa for Malaysia: Eligibility and required documents
Malaysia's Immigration Department (Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia, or JIM) has shared a list of categories of individuals who can apply for a Multiple Entry Visa into the country, as well as the documents required for each category's visa application.
The details are as follows:
Business visitors
This category refers to foreign nationals who wish to enter Malaysia with the purpose of investing or attending to a business matter.
Documents required
- Passport photo with white background
- Page of the applicant's passport with a validity period of no less than six months from the date of arrival in Malaysia
- Travel ticket which has been verified
- Proof of payment for accommodation
- Latest bank statements (past three months)
- Invitation letter from a government/private agency/sponsor to invest, or for a business matter
- Other relevant supporting documents
Medical visitors
This category refers to foreign nationals seeking medical treatment in Malaysia.
Documents required
- Passport photo with white background
- Page of the applicant's passport with a validity period of no less than six months from the date of arrival in Malaysia
- Travel ticket which has been verified
- Proof of payment for accommodation
- Reference/appointment letter from a registered medical centre
- Latest bank statements (past three months)
