Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Sends Condolences to Turkish President Over Tragic Earthquake
King Mohammed VI extended his condolences to the Turkish people and the families of the victims.
Rabat - Morocco’s King Mohammed VI sent a letter of condolence to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following the tragic earthquake that left thousands of casualties and injuries in its wake.
In his letter, King Mohammed VI said that he received the news of the earthquake with a heavy heart, adding that in “this painful circumstance,” he expresses his compassion and condolences on behalf of the Moroccan nation.
King Mohammed VI extended his condolences to the Turkish people as a whole and the families of the victims.
The monarch added that he “shared the feelings of sadness felt by the Turkish President in this painful ordeal,” explaining that Morocco stands in solidarity with Turkiye in these harsh circumstances.
The letter included the King’s prayers for the victims for a speedy recovery to the wounded. For those that have lost lives, he shared prayers that Allah may grant them his holy mercy and welcome them into His vast paradise.
The King’s condolences were sent on the same day that a devastating earthquake tore through several Turkish cities in the country’s southern regions on Monday.
While rescue missions are still underway, the death toll has now exceeded 2,000, and more than 3,000 others injured. Read More…
