Today we release the song “Boys in Movies” featuring Nilüfer Yanya. The album is out in 23 days.
Søren constantly sought out new music and always shared his discoveries with everyone around him. He was never afraid to reach out to those people who inspired him. “Boys in Movies” is a track that has had several different identities. It found its direction when we shared it with Nilüfer Yanya, who helped us highlight the energy and gave the song a whole new dimension.
Most of the album has been written on the farm in West Jutland and in a summerhouse on South Funen. Inside the old half-timbered house there was a wood-burning stove, which Søren had named ‘Lucifer’, because it got so damn hot. It was the only heat source in the house, so when we were on writing trips in the winter, we always spent the whole first day firing up and sitting completely crammed into a small sofa in front of Lucifer, talking about all the music we were going to make together. After spending many days isolated from the outside world, we always returned with great ideas for songs, most often only recorded on a phone.
The album and the songs remind us of our friendship and togetherness. The trips to South Funen and West Jutland were a breathing space, where friendship and music flourished. That was where we had the very best of times. Read More...
