Legislative: another party announces its boycott
After the Free Destourian Party (PDL), Ennahdha, it is the turn of Al Massar to announce that it intends to boycott the legislative elections of December 17, 2022. This is what it announced in a press release made public this Sunday, October 2, 2022.
The party challenges, in particular, the electoral law promulgated by the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, judging it unconstitutional. Al Massar also considers that the political climate in Tunisia is tense and that there are no guarantees for the organization of free, transparent and pluralist elections.
The Head of State, we still read in the press release, is taking an individual approach, knowing that the 2022 Constitution lacks legitimacy according to Al Massar.
