Players will visit all nine worlds featured in God of War 2018:
"Join Kratos and Atreus on a mystical adventure in search of answers and allies before the start of Ragnarok."
“Santa Monica Studio has prepared a sequel to the famous game God of War (2018). Fimbulwinter is near. Kratos and Atreus must travel to all of the Nine Realms and find answers as the Asgardian forces prepare for the doomed battle that will end the universe."
The theme of the plot will be Ragnarok, which will force Kratos and Atreus to make difficult decisions. But one thing is certain - a big war is coming:
“They will have to visit the mythical lands and meet in battle with fearless enemies in the face of the Scandinavian gods and monsters. Ragnarok has never been so close. Fate will present Kratos and Atreus with a choice between their own safety and the safety of all worlds."
Sony makes it clear that God of War Ragnarok is a sequel that will get to know Atreus better:
