Fifty-five years old Md Balayet Sheikh has qualified for studying in Varendra University for the Fall 2022 academic session.
Balayet proved that age cannot be a barrier to education as he now achieved the opportunity to study in the university's Journalism, Communication and Media Studies department.
Talking to The Daily Star, Balayet said, "My dream came true."
"I had a belief that I would become successful today or tomorrow. I just worked hard to fulfill my dream. I'll take preparation for the admission after a discussion with my mother," he added.
Balayet from Mawna in Gazipur had dreamt of studying at Dhaka University and sat for this year's admission test but he could not do it due to many obstacles.
In 1983, he first had taken preparation to sit for Secondary School Certificate examination but could not fill up registration due to lack of money. Read More...
