Gingerbread Spice Dutch Baby
Ingredients
½ cup flour
¾ cup milk
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
3 large eggs
Pinch of salt
3 Tbsp butter
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Maple syrup, for serving
Preparation
1. Place a 9- to 10-inch cast-iron skillet (or other oven-safe skillet) in the oven. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk first 7 ingredients until smooth. (Alternatively, blend ingredients in a blender.) Let stand 15 minutes.
3. Remove skillet from oven. Add butter, swirling to coat sides of pan. Pour in batter. (If you pour the batter in a figure-eight pattern, it makes pretty ridges when it bakes.)
