First Outdoor Field for Public Practice of Taijiquan in Bulgaria Opens in Stara Zagora
The first outdoor field in Bulgaria for the public practice of Taijiquan, an internal Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits and meditation (also known as Tai Chi), opened Saturday in Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria. The official opening of the site was attended by Taijiquan Grandmaster Yang Jun, who is a sixth generation descendant of the Yang family, who created Yang Taijiquan and spread it around the world. The Grandmaster will lead an international seminar in Stara Zagora from April 22-24, where he will teach the 26-position "Senior Form" and the "Pushing Hands" technique.
"I wish that this space will soon not be able to accommodate all those willing to practice. I congratulate Tihomir Todorov who has been developing the art of Taijiquan in Stara Zagora for nearly 35 years. Sport is an investment in our health," Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Krasimira Chahova said during the opening ceremony. Read More..
