Film "Fogo-Fà¡tuo", by Joà£o Pedro Rodrigues, awarded in Brussels
The film "Fogo-Fátuo", by Portuguese director João Pedro Rodrigues, won the Grand Prix of the Directors' Week at the Brussels International Film Festival, which ended this Saturday, the organization announced.
"Fogo-Fátuo", which will have its national premiere at the Curtas de Vila do Conde festival (which takes place from the 9th to the 17th of July), was the only film by a Portuguese filmmaker to compete in the fifth edition of the festival, which ran for about of two weeks.
The most recent film by João Pedro Rodrigues was one of the biggest attractions of the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Festival, which also featured new works by Pietro Marcello, Alice Winocour, Lucien Castaing-Taylor/Véréna Paravel and Mia Hansen-Løve. Read More…
