Recently, the season of canhu and celebration of the 128 Years of Gwaza Muthini was launched , which starts on February 2nd, in Marracuene, in the province of Maputo.
This is a ritual that symbolizes the opening of the canhú season, which coincides with the 16th edition of the Marrabenta Festival, which will take place on the 2nd of February, at the monument of Gwaza Muthini, on the 3rd of February, at the Centro Cultural Joaquim Chissano and, on the 3rd of February, at the Centro Cultural de Matalana.
For the year 2023, the organization of the Marrabenta Festival chose Mario Ntimana and Kapa Dech to brighten the public with their musical repertoires.
