Belgrade Philharmonic Commemorates 100th Anniversary with Zubin Mehta and Disney Melodies
The esteemed Belgrade Philharmonic is gearing up to celebrate a momentous occasion—their 100th anniversary—with an extraordinary concert season spanning from June 2023 to June 2024.
Kicking off the festivities on June 20th, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of the world-renowned maestro Zubin Mehta, will enchant audiences at Kolarac. This momentous event also serves as the grand inauguration of Mehta's highly anticipated Open Balkans tour.
Continuing the jubilant revelries, the orchestra has a captivating open-air performance scheduled for July 2nd at Ušće in Belgrade. The concert will feature a splendid rendition of Disney's beloved classic, Fantasia, promising an enchanting evening for music enthusiasts of all ages.
On September 15th, prepare to be mesmerized as the orchestra takes center stage to deliver Gustav Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 3. This exceptional concert is set to leave a lasting impression on the hearts of all attendees.
Adding to the brilliance of the centenary celebrations, virtuoso violinist Nemanja Radulović will grace the stage alongside the Philharmonic on September 22nd. His awe-inspiring performance promises to be an unforgettable highlight of the commemorative season.
Breaking new ground, the Belgrade Philharmonic is thrilled to present Johann Sebastian Bach's magnificent Mass in B Minor for the very first time in its illustrious history. Joined by a distinguished guest choir hailing from Brno, the Czech Republic, this extraordinary musical event will take place on January 19th, 2024.
