Beatrice Borromeo conquers Venice with a refined Dior couture look of surrealist inspiration
Despite the big stars who flocked to Venice for the celebrations of the 2022 Biennale , it was she who stole the show, catalyzing the gazes of photographers, winning the attention of the public and earning thousands of likes on Instagram thanks to that innate class that distinguishes her. The beautiful Beatrice Borromeo , in fact, arrived in the Lagoon for the weekend for the charity gala dinner organized by the maison Dior and Venetian Heritage at the Teatro La Fenice. Alongside her, of course, also her husband Pierre Casiraghi. Monaco's favorite royal couple arrived hand in hand, smiling, and flawless - as usual - in two coordinated Dior looks. He, very elegant, in a classic-cut tuxedo, with shirt and tie, she, enchanting in an enchanting black dress with the charm of yesteryear.
For the occasion, Beatrice chose a Dior evening dress with a swirl of oversized black velvet loops and a braided horsehair bodice. A look that is certainly not obvious, but of great impact, characterized by the cage bustier and the maxi skirt with see-through details. Upon arrival, Borromeo also sported a delightful foot-length velvet cloak and large gold drop earrings. The outfit, which recalls one of the looks immortalized during Marie-Hélène de Rothschild's 1972 Surrealist Ball, is part of the Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2018 collection inspired by Leonor Fini, a great Italian surrealist artist (on display at the Tommaso Calabro gallery in Milan) as well as a friend of Mounsier Dior - she often wore his clothes - who loved fashion and used it to define and represent himself, with an austere, authoritative and regal style very similar to the one worn by Beatrice.
